What’s Needed to Execute?

You need to identify the key leadership qualities essential to excel quickly in altered terrain through co-creation. Working with the CEO, we examine the company’s emerging or critical events, like post-merger organization design or disruption caused by new technology or competition. The CEO then invites the Top Management Team on the journey to measure six tightly defined "Success Factors" vital to meeting expectations.

TMTPredict Simulations

TM’s proprietary simulations have been used by thousands of business leaders. They’re the only objective, validated means of efficiently identifying what Harvard Business Review calls “deep smarts.”

The management team is taken through a series of simple, timed simulations to chart their first reactions to various types of information. There are no right or wrong responses, but they identify attributes and different cognitive skills based on simulation scenarios. Tectonic Methods then uses a proprietary TMTPredict model to simulate decision-making, originally developed by the Pentagon to select fighter pilots. This model has been refined and validated to apply to business.

AI Enabled Multi-Level Analysis

Aggregating and Integrating diverse data sources within an engagement, TM leverages qualitative and quantitative tools to develop a multidimensional understanding of an organization's capacities, limitations, and dynamics. This process is handled through rigorous social science methods combined with AI engines to distill and identify broad operational conditions. Findings from simulations, interviews, and multilevel analyses are placed in context. Predictions take shape. We model future performance to see how outcomes will be affected by changes in team composition, or by boosting the intangible capacities of a BU, or by taking a different tack.

Through a blend of predictive analytics and performance metrics, we ensure that leadership, operations, and strategy are seamlessly aligned to excel in rapidly evolving market conditions.

Internal market research findings from the TM process:

  • We identify previously unseen obstacles and advise how to avoid them.  

  • High performing segments of the organization are contrasted with less impressive ones. We show the reasons—with special reference to why some segments will align themselves rapidly with change . . .and why others more slowly. 

  • We document how best to strengthen the organization given the specific critical issues being faced.  That includes helping to deploy smaller, highly synergistic “A teams” for special tasks.

  • We also conduct personal debriefings for each participant to explain what each individual helped to accomplish. (Development plans are available as needed.)
